     Heard over NBC from 09/09/48 to 07/07/49.  This is actually the second series of this program.  The first series (07/06/47 to 09/28/47), was entitled Front And Center and encouraged U.S. Army recruitment.  The star was Dorothy Lamour.  In this second series, many top stars appeared before the microphones.  The most famous broadcast of this series was the program of 03/17/49 when everything went wrong during a live broadcast from the Shamrock Hotel in Houston on St. Patrick's Day.  Hal Gibney was the announcer.
