THE BIG SHOW

CONTENTS:

The name says it all - The Big Show.  This was radios great and last major attempt to stop the encroachment that television was having on their audience.  Budgeted at $100,000.00 per broadcast, NBC finally cancelled the program after two years with a one million dollar loss.  But while it was aired, it was something special with Tallulah Bankhead as Mistress of Ceremonies and many of the top entertainment stars of the day.  You will enjoy each of these 90 minute broadcasts.  This series was heard from 11/05/50 to 05/06/51 for the first season, and from 09/30/51 until 04/20/52 for the second season.  Multiple sponsors were heard on this Sunday 6:00 p.m. evening program.
