ROCKY JORDAN

CONTENTS:

     This series started life first as A Man Named Jordon, heard as a CBS West Coast 15 minute weeknight program from 01/08/45 to 06/29/45.  The broadcasts continued in a 30 minute format from 07/02/45 to 04/20/47, this time as a weekly program and still on CBS West Coast.  This series became a popular staple starring Jack Moyles as Rocky Jordan, the proprietor of the Café Tambourine in Istanbul.  The series was resurrected as Rocky Jordan, again on the CBS West Coast network with the sponsorship of Del Monte Foods.  From 10/31/48 to 09/10/50 Jack Moyles continued in the starring role and Jay Novello heard as Captain Sam Sabaaya.  The move to the full CBS network began on 06/27/51 with the title role going to movie actor tough guy George Raft.  It was a short run ending on 08/22/51.
