the NBC Blue network as Red Adams. Continuing
on the same network, the series a name change to Red Davis and aired from
09/23/33 until 05/24/35 sponsored by Beech-Nut Gum. Burgess Meredith was heard as the lead in both series.
A transition in the series name to Forever Young and in the lead
role going to Curtis Arnall happened between 01/13/36 and 06/26/36 on NBC.
Finally, from 06/29/36 until 01/16/59 the series was known as
Pepper Young's Family, starring Curtis Arnall until the early 1940's,
followed by Lawson Zerbe until 1945, and Mason Adams from 1945 until the
end in 1959. Sponsored by
Procter & Gamble's product Camay.
This series was also heard concurrently on the Blue network from
1936 to 1941, on Mutual from 1937 until 1938, and on CBS from 1942 to
1943. The story line follows
Larry (Pepper) Young's families trials with life in middle America. Each
episode is 15 minutes in length.
