CHALLENGE OF THE YUKON

This drama program was first heard over the MUTUAL network as a once a week 15 minute program beginning on 02/03/38. After 484 broadcasts, the program switch to the 30 minute format on 06/12/47 and moved to the ABC network and at the same time picked up sponsorship from Quaker. Starting on 09/06/48, the series was heard three times a week. For three months, beginning on 06/15/49, it again was heard once a week, and the moved back to three times a week for the next three months. The series moved back to MUTUAL beginning on 01/02/50, three times a week. This progam became a favorite across the country, Sgt. Preston was last heard on 06/09/55 with broadcast #1260.
