CONTENTS:

     First heard over the CBS network on 10/19/37, Big Town starred Edward G. Robinson as the Steve Wilson, the crusading editor of The Illustrated Press. Claire Trevor was heard as Lorelei Kilbourne, the society editor.  Rinso was the programs sponsor until 07/02/42.  Edward Pawley took over the role beginning on 10/05/43 with the new sponsorship taken over by Ironized Yeast and Bayer.  Lifebuoy became the sponsor when the series moved to NBC beginning 09/14/48.  The series lasted on NBC until 12/25/51.  The sponsorship continued with Lifebuoy when the series returned to CBS beginning 12/12/51 and lasted until the last broadcast on 06/25/52.
